Custom Board Game Logo & Animation for Space Junkers

The Challenge

Space Junkers combines sci-fi adventure, tactical competition, humor, and chaotic player interaction. The identity needed to immediately communicate the game's space setting while still feeling energetic, approachable, and fun rather than overly serious.

The logo also had to remain recognizable across the physical board game, promotional material, crowdfunding assets, and animated content.

The Design Approach

We developed the identity around bold metallic lettering with a cool blue sci-fi treatment inspired by the technology and starship setting of the game. The typography was given movement and personality to reflect the unpredictable, high-energy nature of a Space Junkers session.

Rather than creating a sterile futuristic logo, the design was intentionally given a more playful and adventurous character. Angled lettering, dimensional effects, highlights, and energetic details helped reinforce the feeling of salvagers racing through a damaged spacecraft looking for their next score.

For the animated version, we extended the same personality into motion with a custom logo sequence. The animation uses sci-fi effects and dynamic movement to make the logo feel like part of the Space Junkers universe while remaining suitable for trailers, campaign videos, and promotional content.

The final identity gives Space Junkers a bold and recognizable visual style that matches the game's mix of sci-fi adventure, competition, humor, and chaos.

The metallic blue logo creates a strong connection to the game's deep-space setting, while the animated version gives Next Dimension Games a flexible identity that can work across the physical game, crowdfunding campaign, promotional artwork, and video content.

The result is a game identity designed to feel just as energetic and character-driven as the experience of racing through the Deepspace Horizon itself.
