Cosmic Tails is an indie sci-fi action roguelite developed by Brandon Parmely, featuring cat bounty hunters battling enemies across space. Inspired by Vampire Survivors and Brotato, the game combines fast-paced combat, quirky humor, and colorful cosmic environments. Termas Designs was commissioned to develop a cohesive collection of branding and promotional assets, including a custom game logo, animated logo, game icon, illustrated key art, and a complete Steam capsule artwork kit.

The developer initially had a placeholder logo that needed a more distinctive and professional identity. The goal was to capture the game's playful feline personality, futuristic setting, and action-packed gameplay while creating a memorable and recognizable design. The identity also needed to translate consistently across different applications, from the game itself to promotional artwork and Steam storefront assets.
We developed a playful sci-fi visual direction combining expressive feline imagery, bold typography, and vibrant cosmic colors.
The custom game logo established the foundation of the identity, complemented by a matching game icon and an animated version that brought the branding to life through movement.
For the key art, we created a dynamic space illustration featuring a cat bounty hunter piloting a futuristic spacecraft, surrounded by colorful cosmic environments, dramatic lighting, and explosive action. The illustration was then adapted into a coordinated Steam capsule artwork kit, maintaining visual consistency across the different promotional formats.
